Your home is a large, maybe even your largest investment, and great care must be taken when choosing windows. We have been providing high performance windows for over 30 years, and have binders and binders full of client testimonials to how well our products perform.
Although most PVC windows look the same, they are not all created equally, with some seemingly small differences making a huge impact on how they perform in your application and climate. All of the components in North Home’s windows are selected exclusively with our geographical location and climate in mind.

Some things about our windows to note:
1 3/8” glazing cavity for the use of high performance in triple pane insulated glass units. The added airspace between the panes offers better insulating value, especially when filled with argon gas. Reflective Low-E coating options are available depending on your application and needs. This will lead to a more comfortable and less expensive home to maintain in energy costs.
Learn MoreHeavy duty, thick-walled frames for added strength and rigidity for supporting the added weight of heavy triple pane insulated glass units. These windows are built strong and with high performance in mind. Being certified for commercial applications through NAFS testing you know your windows will handle the strong winds, driving rains and all the other extreme weather Saskatchewans climate can throw at them.
Learn MoreHand inserted, Santoprene weatherstripping for excellent pliability in the most extreme cold. Your seal is only good if it has the ability to compress. Unlike mohair or co-extruded vinyl (flexible plastic), Santoprene remains soft and flexible to very cold temperatures, to below -60, ensuring the “squish” required of your weatherstripping. You won’t find a better sealing system than windows manufactured with Santoprene weather seals. Also because it is hand inserted, if it ever requires replacement, it can be done easily with the exact product, not an aftermarket lumber yard one size fits all weather strip.
Learn MoreTruth “Encore” operators on opening windows. Encore is the most deluxe window operator Truth makes. It has a contoured cover with a nesting handle, that looks great, but more importantly operates beautifully, even with the weight of heavy triple pane glass.
Learn MoreAdjustment in the hardware of your window system is crucial. With multi point locks, a full height tie bar is controlled by each lock handle with the number of locking points increasing with the height of the window. Each locking point is individually adjustable to create a uniform pressure on the compression seal. The hinges also have adjustment to allow slight movement on the sash from side to side. This ensures adjustability should there be movement in the home. Gone are the days of windows stuck closed or not closing because of any movement in the windows environment.
Learn MoreA full suite of interior jamb extensions, and exterior brickmold options are available ranging in sizes including our exclusive external sill option for the best in cold weather performance. With numerous brickmold options as well as nail fin options we can tailor your window to tie into your exterior seamlessly. For the inside we have standard jamb extensions for your typical wall construction. For uncommon wall depths due to layers of siding, added insulation etc, we also have custom depth pvc jamb liners. No matter what your wall depth we can fit the house perfectly, and if you choose we can also finish the inside off with a maintenance free pvc casing you will never have to paint again.
Learn MoreOur optional, exclusive, external sill is our flagship for performance. Having a window set towards the inside of the house, allows more air flow to the entire surface of glass. Air flow to the glass is critical for cold weather performance as increased warm air currents flowing across the glass keeps your glass warmer. Warm glass is clear glass. With our external sill system, clients are less susceptible to condensation or frosting even on the coldest of days.
